I've missed you!

Hello again, my blog friends. It's been a couple of weeks since we talked, and I've missed you all. We've been super busy moving (and haven't had internet), so I haven't had a chance to catch up.

I also wanted to introduce you to my newest friend. I met him when we were moving stuff from our old house to the new one last weekend. Mama, daddy and I went to the car and he was sitting on the roof.

When we saw him, we were a little spooked... and he was too! He hopped from our car to the one next to it to the roof of our neighbor's house. We thought maybe he had a boo boo, but he then he flew away.

Who is my new friend, you ask. I'll give you a hint:

There's always time for fun!

Mama, daddy and I have done a whole lot of moving this weekend. Moving to another house, I mean. And since we're moving houses, mama hasn't had a whole lot of time for cooking, which means no recipes this week. Bummer.

However, I did make time to learn another word: Hereyougo. I use it when I give something to someone. I can even use it with my very firstest word to say Hereyougo kitty!

And mama and I found some time to visit a new park. We stopped by after moving some boxes to the new house. It's super close to there, so I'll be going a lot soon! It has a fun slide that got my bum wet, and it has sand to play with. Hooray!!

I got mail!

As you may remember, I've been battling a terrible diaper rash for a few weeks now. Even worse, my favorite cloth diaper store has been out of my diaper rash cream! Yikes!!

So we had to find someone who wasn't out of it. Mama found a few places, but it was super pricey, 'specially when you have to pay for the shipping. Finally, she found a good deal on Amazon.

The best part was, mama and daddy had gotten some Amazon moneys by doing seaches here instead of using other search-y places. Basically you type what you want to look for, and it will randomly give you "Bucks" that you can cash in. If you get 45 Bucks, you get some Amazon moneys. If you get a bunch of Amazon moneys, you can buy things!

And sometimes the things you buy even come in boxes. With packing peanuts. And a jar that goes THUD! when thrown. All of which can be stacked!

More bananas!

Have I mentioned my love for bananas? Mmmmm....

{Banana Bread}
1 cup mashed ripe bananas {about 2 or 3 bananas}
3/4 cup chopped nuts
3 tbsp oil
1/2 cup honey or molasses
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 cup white bread flour
1/2 cup wheat flour
1 1/2 tsp baking soda {the picture shows baking powder, but it should be baking soda}
1/4 tsp salt

First you need to preheat your oven to 350 degrees.

Then mash the bananas. You can do this with a potato masher, in the blender, or however else you can come up with. We do it in the blender, and chop the nuts at the same time. If you do this, you'll want to add the nuts slowly so they get chopped up well.

Once your bananas and nuts are mashed and chopped, mix them with the honey, oil, and vanilla extract.

Now you want to add the other ingredients (flour, baking soda and salt), and mix everything together.

Once everything is all mixed together, scoop the mixture out into a lightly oiled loaf pan. Mama likes to use spray oil for this. She also has a loaf pan that is a little too big, but it's okay. The bread still turns out great!

The bread should be baked for 45 minutes. Then let it cool, and eat it!

On minute 43 of the bread baking today, I smooshed my fingers in a drawer. Mama had to come snuggle with me until about minute 60, but the bread turned out okay. Hooray!!

Update!

Well my bloggy friends, I set a few goals last month on my unbirthday. Since then, I have done some of those things, so I wanted to give you all an update.

I have learned two more words: duck and butterfly. That means only two more to go before my birthday!

I have climbed {at least!} five stairs by myself - goal done!

I have been to three new parks, and only three more to go!

Here are some pictures of the park we went to today. It was so super fun I didn't want to leave. It has a super big and fast tube slide, stairs and tunnels, and a cool twisty slide. What more could a boy ask for?

Birds, birds, and more birds!

I got to see lots of birds today! Our local aviary has free admission this weekend, as a thank you for the support they've received. Mama, daddy and I decided we should go check it out.

I hadn't been to the aviary before, but mama and daddy said it's lots better than the last time they went. Better or not, I got to run around and see birds. Sometimes, I even got to run around with the birds because peacocks and peahens get to roam freely. It was great fun!

Even better fun, the aviary is right in the middle of one of my favorite parks. {The one with the big, twisty tube slide!} This weekend though, we're going to try a new park or two. We'll let you know how they are. I'll also get you a yummy banana bread recipe.

In the meantime, here are some pictures from today's bird adventure:
